Invite-only meet consisting of shotput, discus, javelin, and potentially hammer.

The Big A Throwers Meet is Back!
You are invited to one of Maryland's most prestigious throwing meets -- organized by throwers, ran by throwers, and competed in by those same throwers! At this meet, the track is only used to get from the Shotput to the Discus and Javelin spaces!
By participating in this meet, you will be competing alongside:
Multiple Current + Former Maryland High School State Champions
Current + Former College Throwers
Former Olympians (and, if we may be so bold, FUTURE OLYMPIANS!)
In short, Maryland's Best Throwers of all ages (8-90+) will be in attendance, alongside their families, supporters, and college coaches.
What throwers get by participating:
6 Throws: Every athlete advances to the finals and will get 6 throws in their respective events
A Big A T-Shirt: Every athlete who registers will get a Big A Throwers Meet T-Shirt
Networking Opportunities: Make new friends, meet old friends -- everyone here loves throwing, and we love throwers who love to throw!
What does this cost me?
The Big A Throwers Meet has historically been a free event with a hat tossed around to defray costs.
In this modern age, the "hat" has been transitioned to SpotFund.
We suggest everyone considers the cost to throw the meet, as well as the free t-shirt ($20 value) when making their donation <CLICK HERE TO DONATE>
Logistics:
The meet will be held at Liberty High School (Map) in Eldersburg, Carroll County Maryland.
Event Check-In starts at 9AM (all registration handled through Athletic.Net)
Events begin at 10AM sharp!
Meet schedule will be announced once registration locks, but we encourage athletes to attend for the day -- meet your fellow throwers and pitch in to help work the events (we love help retrieving implements, spotting marks, etc.)
This event is generally by invite only, but if you haven't received an invite, please email the event organizer (jasonchalk@gmail.com) and we can send an invite your way.
